Plough leaf springs, Kverneland model
The main purpose of plough leaf springs is to absorb impacts and protect the plough bodies when they encounter obstacles in the ground, such as stones or roots. This suspension system allows the plough to flex upon impact and then return to its original position without damage, avoiding interruptions and reducing wear.
Additionally, leaf springs contribute to more uniform and stable tillage, as they maintain constant pressure on the soil, improving penetration and the quality of soil turning. Their design also helps to minimise the force required for draught, facilitating the tractor's work and optimising energy consumption.
