It all began with Patricio Echeverría, a young entrepreneur ahead of his time who understood the importance of technology and branding. This is how Bellota was born—one of the first Spanish industrial brands registered worldwide.

In 1931, an in house steel manufacturing plant was established due to the supply challenges of the time. Since then, Bellota steel has become synonymous with strength and precision.

Start of Manufacturing in Venezuela
The first international production investment took place in Cagua (Venezuela) in 1978, with the establishment of a plant for manufacturing hoes, sledgehammers, hammers, mattocks, and adzes. This factory is currently closed.

Start of Production in Colombia
A second production investment took place in Caldas (Colombia) in 1987. Bellota was thus able to introduce its products into the Colombian market and become a benchmark in machete manufacturing. Today, this plant manufactures exclusively for the Tools business.

Acquisition of Solbjerg (Denmark)
The Danish company Solbjerg, specialized in the manufacturing of Danish tines and vibro components, was acquired to expand the agricultural replacement parts range. Solbjerg products are still offered today, and all manufacturing is centralized at the Zumárraga plant, specialized in tines.
