To air the compact soil that has been pressed down by the weight of the tractor wheels, two spiral track looseners are usually fitted on the cultivators and these are normally double coil tines. The shape of the spiral track looseners is very different according to each model of cultivator. These spiral track looseners are fitted at the front of the cultivators and normally a small profile is used because not a lot of tillage is required.
