Points for ploughshares

In the moldboard plow the first piece to penetrate the soil for the tillage work is the tip of the plowshare. The moldboard plow is one of the oldest pieces of farming equipment, seeing as it was already being used in Roman times. With agricultural mechanization the design of this piece of machinery has evolved and it has been heat treated to adapt it to the faster pace of work of this type of farm machinery and the demand for a longer service life and durability against wear and tear.
