Fluted Coulters

Curved tine subsoiler available in two sizes: 800 (for extensive crops) and 600 (specifically for vineyards). Loosens the soil without turning it over. Ideal for clod breaking and preparing the ground properly for nutrient and water penetration. Especially recommended for direct drilling.

Bellota Agricultural Subsoiler:
The subsoiler machine is used to decompact hard soil, loosening the earth without turning it over, leaving the vegetation cover practically intact and reaching depths between 25 cm and 45 cm.
Decompacting the soil is very important for aerating the earth, breaking up clods and ensuring that both water and nutrients reach the roots. Decompacting hard soil is something that should be carried out every two or three years to improve soil quality. Subsoilers for direct drilling are very useful in this sowing technique, as the soil becomes very compacted.
2 Agricultural Subsoiler models:
At Bellota we have two models of agricultural or soil subsoilers, with 800 or 600 shank depending on the crop. The 800 shank is used mainly for maize, barley, wheat and the 600 is used in vineyards.
Bellota's curved shank design is suitable as a subsoiler for dry soils and should work at least 10cm below the layer to be broken up.
The subsoiler shanks are manufactured from boron steel and receive an integral heat treatment, guaranteeing hardness of 50 HRc.
These agricultural subsoiler shanks are designed to carry out loosening and aeration work.
For the large 800 subsoiler, Bellota has two different point models:
a) Reversible point
b) Interchangeable shank and point, standard and case-hardened with hardness of 62HRc.

Recommendations for the subsoiler:
- It is recommended to work with the soil subsoiler at least 10cm below the layer to be broken up.
- The recommended power for this subsoiler machine for 30 cm depth is between 35-45 HP and up to 55-65 HP for a depth of 70cm.
- Working speed should be maintained between 3 and 5 Km/h
